A dusk shot of Midtown Manhattan as seen from the Rockefeller Center.
The Rockefeller Center is probably the least tripod-friendly location on the planet. In the couple of hours I spent there, I was approached by security folks at least half a dozen times to make sure I knew that I couldn't use my tripod or even set it down standing upright the the legs retracted.
This shot was taken from the "Top of the Rock" observation deck using a Gorillapod to stabilise the camera on top of one of the stone walls. The wind was pretty fierce and the camera was wobbling a lot more than I would have liked but I got several good images nonetheless.
