A very cold day at Covehead, Prince Edward Island in January.
A popular tourist destination in the summer, the lighthouse located inside the National Park at Covehead defines the entrance to Brackley and Covehead Bay on the North Shore of Prince Edward Island, Canada. Taken on a very cold January morning, many do not get to experience our beaches in the middle of winter. My goal for this photo was not to focus on the often photographed lighthouse but try to include much of the environment of where it lives. Instead of summer greens, the beach grass still shows some golden color until buried in snow.
