I visited New York this week, and it rained almost the entire time I was there. I was able to get a few shots in, and of course there were great clouds, but I wish the weather had cooperated a little more.
Brooklyn Bridge Park is an 85-acre (340,000 m2) park currently under construction on the Brooklyn waterfront in the vicinity of the Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges. As of March 22, 2010 the first newly built section of the park, Pier 1, has been open to the public. The park will extend from the Con Edison substation north of the Brooklyn pier of the Manhattan Bridge south along the Brooklyn Heights waterfront to Pier 6, the second section to open, which includes a ferry dock, playgrounds and a ‘water laboratory’ for children. Most of this area was underused and inaccessible for several decades. In addition to Pier 1, the Empire-Fulton Ferry Park is the only green space in the area; it extends from the Fulton Ferry Landing to the Manhattan Bridge
